Getting Around....
Here are a few final tips getting around in Catalyst. The bottom of each page in Catalyst looks something like the screen shot below.
And this is just filled with tools for getting around.....
Let's
you check out who has read how far in each item in Catalyst. Lots of people
read, but don't write. If you want to see who has been reading -- and
how much they have read, click on Who Has Seen
When you're posting you have two options. One is to "Post and View" and the other is to "Post and Go To Next New"
New users should Post and View - that way you will know your post is in place!
You can tell where "Next New" Points
By looking at the navigation bars to the right, and under, the posting box. You can also click on "To Next New At" to go to the next item without posting
There are navigation links, generally under the posting box to the left, and at the top of the page, on the left:
This is a view from inside an item. You can go back to the Catalyst Center and the page with the Conference List by clicking on the top link. You can go back to the Conference Home Page with the list of items by clicking on the Conference Name. You can go to the top of the Item by clicking on the item name, which is the lowest of the three.
Catalyst also let's you jump around...
You can select any topic in the conference you are in, and jump to it. You can also select another conference and jump to that Conference Home Page.
Finally, we have the "no guilt button". Tired of having all those unread items everytime you login?
If you Mark All Seen, you will still be able to go back and read earlier posts -- but you will not start with the current conversation.
And those should get you just about anyplace you want to be in Catalyst!
