Catalyst Libraries

Catalyst has developed libraries to make it easy for groups to store and retreive documents, references, links, media files and other materials.

Here's how it works. Your Catalyst Administrator creates a library. The library is accessed through a URL (hot link) that can be placed anyplace in Catalyst -- in a conference introduction area, as part of an item, or even on a Catalyst Center Page. You click on this link to open the library.

Three kinds of access can be given for libraries. You choose who can just retreive items from the library, who can add items to the library, and who can administer the library -- creating new folders, move items, delete material others have added, etc.

When you open the library, you'll see a file list list this:

By simply by clicking on Add Item, you can add an item to the folder.

Please use shorter filenames with just letters or numbers -- no spaces -- it works much better on the computers of some of your friends

Or, when you click on one of the folder names, it will open and you'll see a list of what's been added:

And, when you click on the title of an item, you'll see a full description:

If you click on dowload or on link you will go directly to the item

And, of course, Catalyst Libraies are fully searchable. Just click on Search and follow the directions.

The Catalyst Library is an excellent way to easily share resources with friends and colleagues!
